Cindy is a pioneer of lean healthcare, having initiated her work with a grant from the National Science Foundation, 2001-2004.  She is the founder and president of Lean Healthcare West, an organization of health professionals offering education and implementation of TPS/lean principles in hospital, clinic and long term care facilities.

Charles has overseen the implementation of Lean Healthcare systems in numerous healthcare organizations across the US and is an in demand speaker on the subject of Lean Enterprises, Lean Healthcare Leadership, and business process improvement.
